Why We Invested in Quantizr

Gardiner Garrard

Over the past few years, nearly every company we’ve invested in has deployed AI to improve efficiencies. From vertical software to payments infrastructure, AI automates repetitive, manual work, enabling employees to focus on strategic efforts that move businesses forward. We’re always looking for greenfield investment opportunities, and our most recent example is a company that provides the financial infrastructure for live entertainment – an industry that hasn’t used data science for business operations.

Most business managers and artist managers have had no other option but to run financial calculations by hand, piecing together information from show offers, contracts, budgets, expense reports, and settlement statements. With data spread across PDFs, spreadsheets, and email threads, it was nearly impossible to understand profitability, track commissions, and calculate artist walkout while a tour was underway. Rather than settle for guesswork, managers need a structured financial system that allows efficient money flow so they can make faster, clearer financial decisions and book profitable tours.

That infrastructure is exactly what Quantizr has built.

When we first met Josh Litwack and the Quantizr team, we knew they were onto something big. Quantizr uses AI to extract financial information from business documents and organizes the data into a structured, live workflow – giving artist managers and their teams a real-time view of financials while on tour. Teams can use Quantizr to create projections, manage budgets, track expenses, review settlements, and understand how individual decisions affect an artist’s bottom line. In doing so, managers can eliminate hours of manual work typically spent on financial operations, freeing them up to focus on the human work that moves an artist’s business forward.

The company is already off to an incredibly strong start. Since launching nine months ago, Quantizr has quadrupled its user base and signed large enterprise contracts with prominent firms across the entertainment industry. The company is backed by music industry veterans Jonathan Azu, founder of Culture Collective, Chris Kappy, founder of Make Wake Artists, and Andy Levine, founder of Sixthman and Topeka – all of whom have experienced financial infrastructure challenges firsthand. Their involvement signals that when tours make financial sense, there are more opportunities to bring fans and artists together.

We invested in Quantizr because the live entertainment industry needs a financial operating system, and because Josh and his team are the right people to build it.

Josh began his career in Bloomberg’s analytics training program, where he saw how structured, real-time financial data transformed the world’s financial markets. He later became a Director at BlackRock and then built and scaled Paragon Data Labs from startup to acquisition by Intapp (NASDAQ: INTA) in three years. He launched Quantizr to bring that same analytical rigor and transformation to the live entertainment industry.

Josh and the Quantizr team know what it takes to launch and scale a successful business, and we are proud to support them as they enable more artist managers and business managers to use AI for real-time financials.
